Waiting
Time |
| |
| |
Excessive
time that a truck waits to be loaded or unloaded. L.T.L.
Services usually gives you 15 minutes, and Full load
services gives you one hour.

L.T.L.
Service |
| |
| |
Less
than a full truckload. Your freight is on a truck with
another companies freight. The truck may deliver to
multiple destinations before arriving at your requested
destination. This service is more cost effective than
shipping small pieces and paying for a full truck.

Expedited
Service |
| |
| |
When
it just has to get there as soon as possible. This may
require us to put two drivers on a shipment or send
the freight via Air Cargo.
|
|
| |
Third
Party Charges |
| |
| |
When
cost such as wire lifting, cranes, permits, etc. are
required and cannot be quoted before the job. These
costs are added to the invoice after the fact, usually
they are discussed with the client before the job.

Logistics |
| |
| |
Logistics
a new word in the last ten years. The definition is
very loose but to us it means service. All services
involved with the movement of freight, from one pallet
to 100 truckloads. Service is the same with coordination
and communications between the shipper, trucker and
receiver. Each being well informed of the daily status
of your shipment.
